This is a list of all Nightforce rifle scopes and reticles on a single page. With street prices, features, and links to official product pages, merchants, and reviews. Updated: January 16, 2021, 28 optics, 109 reticles.
The Nightforce ATACR rifle scopes have a long history of use by the US and NATO military forces, and are “alpha glass” comparable to the finest rifle scopes available. Officially pronounced “A tack R”, I can’t help but think “Attacker” when I see ATACR (and I’m sure I’m not alone in this). The BEAST is also considered “alpha glass”, but uses an older design with an unusual turret system: 0.2 MRAD clicks with a 0.1 MRAD precision lever (if you want to dial 1.3 MRAD, dial six 0.2 MRAD clicks plus throw the 0.1 MRAD lever).
Nightforce rifle scopes labeled “F1” are first focal plane (FFP). Scopes without “F1” in the name, or labeled “F2”, are second focal plane (SFP). ATACR scopes have both F1 FFP and F2 SFP models. All NX8 scopes are FFP. All NXS scopes are SFP. SHV scopes are SFP except the SHV 4-14×50 F1. All Competition and Benchrest scopes are SFP or fixed power.

Nightforce offerings new in 2020
The new MIL-XT FFP reticle has been widely hailed as ideal tree-style reticle for precision rifle competition, and is now available in the BEAST, all NX8, and all F1 ATACR rifle scopes (except the 1-8×24 NX8 and ATACR low power variable optics).
In August 2020, Nightforce released F2 versions of the NX8 2.5-20×50 and NX8 4-32×50 rifle scopes, with two new reticles for each scope.
Nightforce warranty
Nightforce offers a transferrable, limited lifetime warranty for their rifle scopes. The warranty does not cover intentional or accidental damage. The riflescope’s electronic components are covered for a period of three years from date of original owner’s purchase.
All Nightforce riflescopes are covered by a transferable Limited Lifetime Warranty, which says in simple words, if we did something wrong, we’ll fix it. Some manufacturers will tempt you with warranties that will replace your riflescope for any reason. We prefer to build Nightforce riflescopes properly in the first place—to last a lifetime free of problems. A warranty is no substitute for inherent quality. We believe the best warranty is the one you won’t have to use.
Where are Nightforce scopes made?
All Nightforce rifle scopes are engineered and inspected in the USA, and use Japanese glass elements. ATACR and BEAST rifle scopes are machined and assembled in the USA. The NXS rifle scopes are machined in Japan, but assembled in the USA. NX8, SHV, and Competition/Benchrest rifle scopes are made in Japan. Nightforce Optics is headquartered in Orofino, Idaho, and is owned by an Australian parent company that also owns Horus Vision (designer of popular reticles widely used by many rifle scope brands).
