Where are Athlon scopes made?
Athlon is headquartered in the Kansas City area, and R&D, design, service, marketing operations are in Kansas. Athlon rifle scopes, prism scopes, and reflex red dots are made in China and Japan. See details in the feature descriptions for each optic.
Note: Determining where optics are made is difficult, because brands generally are tight-lipped about suppliers. The information provided here should not be taken with 100% authority. I’ve relied on import/export data (Athlon is usually listed as “Sportsgear” in Customs data), brand websites, articles/reviews by reputable sources, and forum posts by reputable industry insiders.

Athlon reticles new in 2020:
The Midas TSP3 3x32mm prism scope reticle can be black (non-illuminated, red, or green. The TSP3 reticle features a 1 MOA central aiming dot, 21 MOA circle outer diameter, 4 MOA hashes, and 60 MOA worth of elevation hashes. See Athlon TSP user manual (PDF) for a complete subtension diagram.

The Argos BTR Gen2 1-8×24 FFP is a new scope in 2020, and comes with a new reticle. The ATRS5 SFP MOA reticle is a bullet drop compensating (BDC) reticle calibrated for 5.56 NATO, and features a 1.4 MOA central aiming dot, 19 MOA horseshoe outer diameter, 5 and 10 mph wind holds, and drop holds to 600 yards.
