ELCAN Optical Technologies is a Canadian optics manufacturer owned by the American defense contractor Raytheon. More than 750,000 ELCAN prism scopes have been fielded by the military forces of Australia, Canada, Denmark, Italy, Norway, United Kingdom, and United States. Updated: July 5, 2020, 4 optics, 8 reticles.
ELCAN prism scopes are unique in that adjustments for windage and elevation are located on the integral rail mount. On most other prism scopes, windage and elevation adjustments are located inside the scope. Elcan’s SpectreDR (dual role) and SpecterTR (triple role) prism scopes are unique as the only prism scopes that support switching magnification levels.

Perhaps the most recognized ELCAN optic is the C79 3.4X combat optical sight. However, ELCAN does not appear to market newly manufactured C79 sights in the US.
